Challenges and Prospects

Bangladesh Development Initiative (BDI) is organizing an international conference to focus on contemporary and relevant topics in Bangladesh today and in the next 30 years. Hosted in partnership with Yale University’s South Asian Studies Council, the conference is scheduled for March 22–24, 2019 (Friday through Sunday). All scholars and researchers are invited to submit extended abstracts/papers and/or ideas for panels broadly related to the conference theme.

BDI Conference Registration

Registration Categories: There are three categories of registration. 

Category A: $250 per person attending the conference (except those included in Category B and C below).

Category B: $150 per person from Bangladesh (excluding students) and their spouses.

Category C: $100 per person for students (from all countries), their spouses and local residents.

This registration fee covers access to all sessions and plenary sessions during the conference, available papers, two breakfasts (Saturday and Sunday), two lunches (Saturday and Sunday), and a formal dinner (Saturday).

Refund Policy: Requests for partial refund of registration fee will be considered for extenuating circumstances only.
